Hiya, I'm Tia! Born and bred in Northern Ireland, I've been obsessed with animals for as long as I can remember. If there was a dog, cat or even a snake needing attention, chances are I was right there trying to make friends with it!

I spent 2 years working with Mary Puppins Doggy Day Care in Hout Bay, where I had the pleasure of looking after dogs of all shapes, sizes and personalities — from energetic ball-chasers to professional sofa loungers. It gave me invaluable experience, and what started as a job quickly grew my family by four paws… twice.

I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your pets, because I know firsthand that they're not just animals — they're family. Whether your dog loves long walks, endless games of fetch, or simply curling up for a cuddle, I'll make sure they feel safe, happy and loved while you're away. I work from home, so your fur babies will always have companionship when they need it most.

Hi, I'm Jess! Devoted cat mom, biiiig stretch enthusiast, and passionate conservationist. Like many animal lovers, I was determined to become a vet and even harassed veterinary schools in my tween years with emails decorated in little paw prints. As I got older, however, I became more interested in conservation and ocean life, leading me to study Marine and Applied Biology, complete my honours degree in Biological Sciences at the University of Cape Town, and then pursue a Master's in Zoology at the University of Pretoria.

I started pet sitting during my undergraduate studies and have since gained almost 10 years of experience caring for a variety of fur babies — including chickens and fish! I've also accepted that I'll probably always have at least 1000 photos on my phone of pets that aren't my own.

As someone who's always had pets, I understand how important they are to us, and how stressful it can be to leave them in someone else's care. That's why my main goal as a pet sitter is to ensure you have complete peace of mind and can trust that your pets will be cared for with the same love, attention, and respect that I give my own. Emma is a 21-year-old Capetonian currently completing her final year of a BA in International Studies at Stellenbosch University. Having attended Springfield Convent School and grown up between Constantia and her grandparents' farm, she developed a deep appreciation for animals, nature, and the outdoors from a young age.

With a background in showjumping and horse care, Emma has gained a strong understanding of animal welfare, responsibility, and the importance of building trust and positive relationships with animals. Her experience working closely with horses has instilled patience, attentiveness, and confidence in caring for animals of all temperaments.

In addition to her animal care experience, Emma has worked as an au pair for wonderful families both in Cape Town and Germany. These roles strengthened her sense of responsibility, adaptability, and ability to provide attentive care while building meaningful relationships with both children and families from diverse backgrounds.

Emma leads a calm, active lifestyle and has a genuine love for the outdoors. She enjoys hiking, swimming, horse riding, and spending time in nature. Her caring nature, reliability, and passion for animals ensure that every pet in her care receives plenty of attention, affection, and companionship while their owners are away.

Hi, my name is Caria, and I'm so excited to be joining Tessa's Pet Sitting Team. I'm a caring, responsible, and animal-loving pet sitter with years of hands-on experience looking after pets and homes. Since 2023, I've been providing trusted house-sitting and pet-sitting services, caring for a variety of animals and ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away.

My passion for animals extends beyond pet sitting. I volunteer at a horse stable in Noordhoek, where I assist with the daily care of horses — including feeding, grooming, and exercising them. I also provide private horse-riding lessons, helping young riders build confidence and develop a strong bond with their horses through patience, encouragement, and positive training methods.

When I'm not caring for pets, I enjoy hiking, swimming, painting, horse riding, and cooking. I'm also passionate about creating natural skincare and household products using essential oils and natural ingredients.

Hi, I'm Ray! I'm a 20-year-old Kommetjie local and a student at the University of Cape Town, where I'm studying towards a BA in History and English Literature.

Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I genuinely love caring for pets of all ages and personalities. Whether it's energetic puppies, playful kittens, or senior pets who need a little extra patience, medication, or gentle care, I make sure every animal feels safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away.

When I'm not studying, you'll usually find me outdoors. I'm passionate about conservation and regularly volunteer in my community, helping organise beach clean-ups and environmental projects around Kommetjie and the Deep South. I also love reading, embroidery, sewing, crochet, hiking and running. Friends and family describe me as warm, organised, reliable and easy-going, and I take pride in treating every home and pet with the same care and respect I would my own.
